the symphony of the soul goes silent,

a forest put to pale shadows under a looming cloud,

where chattering birds burrow in mute brown nests.

When the words go uttered,

you go out the cage with a swallow tail,

spreading the light of the world,

gaining over the shade of darkness.

Keep them uttered or unuttered,

make your statements bold, though not golden

and leave a mark of a breeze,

for the world to remember.
