When you keep them await
When you keep them await,
When you still keep them await,
Notice that their hearts melt,
Their bodies freeze in time,
In this universe;
Amidst the propulsion of seasons,
Amidst those waking calls of spring,
Which might not stir their eyes
At the sight of butterflies with laced wings;
Drifting back, after their promised visits,
To your heartland.
When you keep them await,
When you still keep them await,
Anchored at your shores,
Remember,
They too had wings, and still do,
To flit away unmoved, shunning your pride.
When you keep them await,
At the banks of the silence of your seas,
You entrap the serene love they possess,
Just for you.
When you keep them await,
When you still keep them await,
You let the chords of destiny
Adorned by the crowns of this numberless universe,
To slip away to the mere fancy of your thought games;
And when you realise your beliefs went wrong,
Those await, might have sunk into deep blues of memories,
It is now that you feel them to the core.
When you keep them await,
When you still keep them await,
Remember your follies.
Here upon the earth the buds bloom
Only to wither;
And the breeze slackens,
Only to be the gusts in the mornings;
And the dry leaves wither
into the hearth of the sand grains,
Only to be reborn as tender shoots
of tomorrow!
So let them not wait,
Let them in, with their gifts of love,
Let the crowns of universe take charge,
Let the gems of love
illuminate your pathways!
